catering for students from Year 7 – Year 13 with a roll of 500 students.
Founded in 1971, Tikipunga High School is located on the north-eastern boundary

foundation. Our aim is for each student to reach their personal potential and be
meaningful and productive members of society.
The school values the uniqueness of each individual. Tikipunga High School has a
roll small enough to ensure that the learning environment is personalised -
class sizes are small and teachers know their students - yet large enough to
offer a variety of opportunities and a relevant, interesting curriculum.
International Students:
With a predominately Maori roll and a unique “school culture”, Tikipunga High
School is popular with students from other countries who want to experience true
New Zealand culture.
We welcome students from many different countries and recognise the cultural
diversity their presence brings. We have regular visits between Tikipunga and
school groups from Japan and we take part in many of the International exchange
programmes.
